Surando Mackilaski Blue, son of the late Alyce Blue was born on February 4, 1981, at Doctor’s Memorial Hospital in Perry, FL. He began his schooling at Gretchen Everheart School in Tallahassee, FL then entered the Taylor County Public School System, where he graduated from Taylor County High School as part of the Class of 2001. At an early age, he professed his faith in Jesus Christ at New Brooklyn Missionary Baptist Church. During his tenure at New Brooklyn, he served in the Youth Department and then later as an adult was a member of the Usher Board, Men’s Ministry and the Male Chorus. Although New Brooklyn was his homebased church, Surando considered himself multi-denominational. If he felt the word of God was being shared, he felt free to study and worship.
Surando loved people and he loved the Lord. He always talked about things that he wanted to do and could always be found with his bible nearby. His favorite scripture was John 3:16. “For God so loved the world, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” He had a way of interacting with others. He didn’t care if he had just met you for the first time or if he had known you for a lifetime, he always had a story or something to talk about. He was proud of his family and wanted everyone to know who he was related to.
Surando parted this life on Friday, July 23rd at 9:23 am at Doctor’s Memorial Hospital to walk with the Lord. His life will forever be cherished in the lives of his family: two sisters Angeline Williams and Mokisha Spencer both of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; aunts: Donnie Blue and Helen Blue both of Perry, FL, Maggie Blue and Ollie Blue both of Daytona Beach, FL and uncle Al Freddie (Laura) Blue of San Antonio, TX, three nieces, Arnasia Johnson, Andrea Miller and Kayrn Princivil all of Ft.
