Sherry Overstreet

Sherry Denise Overstreet 52, of Griffin, Georgia, passed away on  April 15, 2024.

Sherry was born in Perry, Florida to Walter Overstreet Sr/ Precious Austin Overstreet on November 7, 1971.

Sherry was a 1990 graduate of Taylor County High School. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and traveling.

Sherry was preceded in death by her father, Walter Overstreet Sr. 

Sherry is survived by her mother, Precious Overstreet Holmes; her children, Christopher Bellamy, Chelsea Jackson and Jarvis Jackson; grandson, Kayden Jackson; granddaughter Jour’nei Folds, sister, Jessilyn Overstreet; brothers, Walter Overstreet Jr (Phyllis), Willie Hawkins (Pearl) and Larry Holmes; three nieces, Tiffany Overstreet-Baker, Makayla Randolph, Dashari Hawkins and four nephews, Tyler Overstreet, William Overstreet, D’Kari Hawkins and D’Marquez Hawkins.  Sherry is also survived by a host of aunts, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly. 

Visitation will be from 5 PM to 7 PM on Friday April 26, 2024 at Evans-Walker Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be at 11 AM on Saturday, April 27th 2024 , at the Memorial Chapel of Joe P. Burns Funeral Home.
