Margaret Pollock Braden was born on December 16, 1955. She was the daughter of the late Abraham Pollock, Sr. and the late Rosetta Evans. Margaret was born and raised in Perry, Florida. She found a career in the food services industry. She worked for many years as a dietician. She retired in 2008 after serving as a CNA at Marshall Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Margaret passed away on January 9, 2021. She bid this world farewell and is resting peacefully in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior. She is survived by her son, Keith Lamar Smith; special cousin, Tabitha Gillyard-Ross (Waddie) of Perry; brother, Kennedy Pollock, of Los Angeles, California and Matthew Pollock (Jennifer) of Zolfo Springs; sisters, Joanna Gadson, Patricia Rollins, Laura Sewell, of Rochester, New York; Juanita Rowe (Leon) of New Jersey and Kathy Milton of Zolfo Springs; one aunt, Helen Smith of Pompano Beach; uncles, Walter Evans (Grace) of Cross City, Samuel Gillyard of Baltimore, Maryland, Roy Charles Gillyard (Denise) of Pompano Beach, Gregory Gillyard of Pompano Beach and Joseph Gillyard of Perry; godchildren, Tashunda Phelps and Rodriquez Jackson, both of Perry; foster children, Ray Staten and Erica Evans-Johnson of Perry.
Margaret is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Margaret was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dwight E. Braden; her parents, a sister, Mary McCray and a brother, Abraham Pollock Jr.
