Morris Jarmon, Sr. was born the sixth child to the Late Reverend Flemon and Stella (Huddleston) Jarmon in LaGrange, Texas on May 27, 1934. After graduation from LaGrange Randolph High School in 1952, he enlisted in the United Stated Air Force in 1954.
While in San Antonio, Texas, Morris met Bettye Lee Anthony. They were united in matrimony on July 17, 1954 at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. To this union, God blessed them with five (5) wonderful children: Morris Jr, Ronald Ray, Darrell Glenn, Monica Janell, and Jacqulyn Aquella.
After relocating to Tyndall AFB in September 1974, he continued his military career until his retirement in May 1977 as Technical Sergeant (E6). Morris was very innovative and launched several business endeavors over the past 45 years including Real Estate Broker, General Contractor, Construction, Telecommunication Services and Flight School.
The Jarmon Family joined fellowship with the Antioch Church of God in Christ in the early years of moving to the Panama City Area. He served the Antioch Temple COGIC faithfully as a Deacon.
Morris was proceeded in death by his wife of 66 years, Bettye L. Jarmon, his parents, his siblings, AV Jarmon, Loutisha Slack, Georgia Lee Jarmon-Thomas, Ivory Jarmon-Lee, Dildridge(Beau) Jarmon, and half siblings Fleming Mae Jarmon and Katie Jarmon.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his Children: Morris Jarmon Jr., Ronald Ray Jarmon & Monica Janell Jarmon all of Panama City, FL, Darrell Glen (Chemetria) Jarmon of North Pole, AK, and Jacqulyn Aquella (Robert) Davis, Apalachicola;one sister Truvie Merle Harris, Houston, TX, Brother-in law, Willie George (Ruby) Anthony, San Antonio, TX; Sisters- in law: Bobbie Jean (Fred) Bowie, Killeen, Texas, Janice ElaineGee, San Antonio, Texas; 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. His Godchildren: Jacqueline T. Moore, LaSabre Wright, Tawana Hicks all of Georgia; Sarah Rose McDonald, Panama City, FL, Zaida Robinson, New York, Johnathan Gipson, California, Leah Gipson of Illinois, Superintendent John M. Gipson and Joshua Gipson, Panama City, FL.
